LGBTQ+ Inclusivity

A warm welcome to LGBTQ+ visitors

Spirituality and queer genders and sexuailities haven’t always mixed well, and it is important to me to be explicit about being a welcoming and affirming therapist. I am an Advanced Accredited Practitioner with Pink Therapy, and I also run a separate private therapy practice as a specialist in Gender Identity.

How I Work in an LGBTQ+ Affirmative Way

  • Affirming and Knowledgeable: I provide a non-judgmental space where you can safely explore your identity, experiences, and personal challenges. as part of therapy. You don’t need to educate me about your identity. I have a strong understanding of LGBTQ+/GSRD identities and experiences, and I educate myself when needed.

  • Support for Common Challenges: I have many years of experience supporting LGBTQ+ individuals through issues such as shame, isolation, trauma, and societal stressors.

  • Neurodiversity Awareness: I am very experienced in working with neuro-diverse clients, recognising the particular ways that identity and neuro-divergence can intersect.

  • Intersectional Awareness: I recognise that sexuality and gender identity are just one part of who you are, and I work with awareness of how these interact with other aspects of identity such as race, class, disability, culture, and faith.

My goal is to create therapy that is inclusive, affirming, and tailored to your individual needs.
